Vaccines for Travel and Anti-Malarial Medication

If you are planning to travel outside the UK, you may need to be vaccinated against some of the serious disease found in other parts of the world. Please ensure you book an appointment with the practice nurse for advice about any travel vaccines and anti-malarial medication at least 8 weeks before travelling.

Please note that some travel vaccines and all anti-malarial medication is not available on the NHS and will be provided on a private prescription.

Travelling for Longer than THREE months and on regular medication

If you are going abroad and take regular medication, a one off prescription for 3 months can be given. For longer periods away we would recommend a consultation with a local doctor for review.
