Appointments

We have a variety of bookable GP, Nurse and Health Care Assistant appointments available. Please see our Clinic Times Document for more information.

Please do not book smears with a doctor.

Contraceptive pill checks need an appointment with a doctor first before seeing the nurse.

We offer a walk-in emergency clinic every day.  On-call doctors are available from 09:00 on weekdays to deal with emergencies.

This service does NOT include:

  • Statement of Fitness for Work
  • Pill reviews
  • Blood results
  • Medication requests
  • Referrals

If you need any of these services, please make a routine appointment with a GP.

The system works like this:

If you telephone with an urgent problem, we will see whether it can be dealt with by talking to a doctor over the telephone first. If you decide to come in please be aware that there will be some waiting time.

You should always telephone first, but If you are ill on the day and come to the surgery we will see you. Please come between 9-12am which is the period when we have most medical and nursing staff on duty. Please be prepared to wait a while, the doctor has to deal with telephone calls and those who come in person.

Attendance at the surgery is normally by appointment and you may not be able to see the doctor of your choice unless you book in advance.

You have told us that you need two sorts of appointments and so:

Anyone with an urgent problem can talk to a doctor by telephone or face to face in the surgery on any week day we are open.

We also offer appointments bookable up to 4 weeks ahead. You can obtain one of these by:

  • booking over the internet
  • booking on the telephone booking system (use our usual number 020 7471 3333) and follow the instructions
  • telephoning and speaking to a receptionist
  • by visiting the surgery

Please help us to get this right.

Tell us what works and what does not work by:

  • using the suggestions box in reception
  • writing to us
  • talking to us in person

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. 1 in 10 of our appointments are lost because people do not attend and do not tell us in advance that they cannot come. If we have your mobile phone number we will automatically text you a reminder of your booked appointment giving you the opportunity to cancel if necessary. We also send out healthcare messages using text messaging. If you do not want to make use of this service, please let us know.
